Story Rail is the specialist railway infrastructure contracting subsidiary of Story Group. With over 10 years experience as a civil engineering and permanent way contractor in the railway industry, Story Rail has grown into a highly respected and well known company with national coverage.

Our experienced and professional team consists of project managers, engineers, surveyors and site teams, all holding the appropriate safety critical competencies and including specialist capabilities such as engineering supervisors, hand back engineers and possession planners.

Our extensive fleet of in-house plant and 300 strong PTS qualified workforce give us a formidable capability to deliver complex schemes safely, within challenging timescales and to budget. In addition we hold a Network Rail Principal Contractor Licence and Plant Operator Licence which enable us to operate on-track plant on Network Rail infrastructure and to undertake projects directly for Network Rail.
