Construction of a 100m long culvert at depths of up to 6m to connect trackside drainage to a nearby watercourse, including the provision of a new gabion headwall and scour protection.

Story Rail installed a new drainage outfall to an existing watercourse from a trackside manhole by excavating a cutting approximately 6m deep. A major earthmoving operation saw the excavated material temporarily stockpiled on site, and replaced following the installation of the culvert. A headwall was constructed from gabion stone baskets and the cutting backfilled to return the land to its state pre commencement.
