Lineside routeworks and cabling as part of the GSM-R scheme.

Delivery of the troughing and cabling could only be done under possession, however in order to achieve greater outputs given the rural location of the works, we designed and fabricated our own rail mounted cable reel dispensing unit which improved the output of cable distribution, which therefore reduced the number of possessions required to complete the works. As a result of this, cost savings were achieved on the project.

The installation of the trough route itself was labour intensive which allowed us to draw on the services of the Story Group, and additional PTS resource was allocated from our Construction division which allowed us to complete these works in a timely manner.
