As these works are part of a nationwide scheme, we have worked on sites from Aberdeen to Cornwall, typically carrying out works to suit a geographical priority. The works mainly consist of the construction of bases adjacent to the railway infrastructure to support the erection of telecommunication masts and associated communication systems. As the project has evolved, so has the construction methods. To begin with, a large majority of the sites are reinforced mass fill concrete, some of which are further supported by auger driven piling, however, more recently typical construction has been to use a piled foundation in lieu of the concrete. Story Rail are accredited in the installation of both Screwfast and FLI piled foundations.

Additional works carried out in conjunction with these works include site clearance, localised ducting and cabling, UTX and hollow sleeper installation and attendance on power cabinet and mast erections.
