Track renewal

Story Rail has carried out numerous projects on routes including Settle Carlisle and the West Coast Main Line. These included track renewal projects of up to 1600m in one single 29 hour possession.

More recently we have completed projects including significant civil engineering content. This allows us to bring our civils experience into the project to provide a one-stop solution to the interface between civils and permanent way. Whether the work is slab track, long timbers, or ballasted deck we have the experience and capability to provide the solution using our in-house resources.

The services we include within our project include all the safety critical staff, management, engineering, and plant to carry out your track renewal project from removing the existing track to installing the new track, completing the handback process and managing the tamping operation.
